Privacy Policy for Satr — RTL for Claude
Satr is a browser extension that formats visible Claude response text and the Claude prompt editor for right-to-left and left-to-right reading and writing.
In short: Satr makes no network requests. It stores five formatting preferences on your own device and nothing else. Your prompts and Claude's responses never leave your browser tab.
Data Satr accesses
After the user explicitly enables local formatting, Satr accesses visible text
inside Claude responses and text the user types into Claude's prompt editor on
claude.ai. This access is necessary to decide whether each response block and
prompt paragraph should be displayed right-to-left or left-to-right. Prompt and
response text is processed temporarily inside the open browser tab.
Satr also stores these preferences in Chrome's local extension storage:
- whether formatting is enabled;
- whether smart prompt direction is enabled;
- the selected direction mode;
- the selected font mode; and
- whether the current privacy disclosure was accepted.
Data storage, transmission, and sharing
Satr does not store Claude prompt or response text. Satr makes no network requests and does not transmit prompt text, response text, browsing activity, preferences, or any other data to the developer or to third parties. Satr has no analytics, advertising, tracking, accounts, or remote servers. Satr does not provide the developer or third parties with access to a user's Claude content.
Data retention and deletion
Formatting preferences remain in Chrome's local extension storage until the user changes them, clears the extension's storage, or uninstalls Satr. Prompt and response text is not retained by Satr.
Permissions
Satr uses the storage permission only for the local preferences described
above. Its page access is restricted to https://claude.ai/* and is used only
to provide the visible RTL/LTR response and prompt-formatting features.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Satr's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data access is limited to providing the extension's disclosed single purpose and is not used or transferred for any other purpose.
Changes
If Satr's data practices change, users will receive a prominent in-product disclosure before any new collection or use begins, and this policy will be updated.
